If you look up reviews, keep that in mind and make sure they are more recent, as the game has seen a lot of much needed additions since launch. Many people complain that these changes were very bland, and the game was plagued by issues at launch that have largely been fixed. Fans are pretty divided with it, as it went open world and has a new combat system. ![]() It brings together the DW8 and SW4 characters, games which are considered the pinnacle of each series by many, and throws in extra magical abilities for the characters for good measure.ĭW9 is the 9th game in the DW series but is highly controversial. If you don’t care for story, WO4 is a great game that plays well, though doesn’t have a lot of extra stuff to do past the story mode. However, the game expects you to be familiar with the characters from both of the former series, in order to understand why they might side with so and so, or dislike so and so. WO has its own story but WO4 reboots it, so everything starts from scratch. This is a series where the worlds of Dynasty Warriors (which always has the same story in its games, based off the novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms) and Samurai Warriors (also same story in its games, based on the Sengoku period of Japan, roughly 1560 to 1615) collide, and it also throws in a wide variety of deities with their own motivations. ![]()
